Bisquick Apple Coffee Cake

Ingredients
Cake:
2 cups Bisquick mix
⅔ cup of milk or water
2 tablespoon sugar
1 egg
1 tart green apple, cored, peeled, sliced

Topping:
⅓ cup Bisquick mix
⅓ cup packed brown sugar
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
4 tablespoon butter

Method
1 Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

2 Grease 8" square pan or 9" round pan. Mix cake ingredients. Spread cake batter in pan. Insert apple slices into the batter evenly throughout the cake.

3 Mix the topping ingredients of Bisquick, brown sugar and cinnamon. Spread topping mix over top of batter in pan. Add slices of butter all over the top.

4 Bake 20 minutes or until golden brown, testing with a toothpick.

Serves 4

Bisquick Sour Cream Coffee Cake

Sour Cream Coffee Cake

Ingredients

1 ½ cups bisquick baking mix
½ cup sugar
2 tablespoons margarine or butter, softened
1 egg
¾ cup dairy sour cream or plain yogurt
1 teaspoon vanilla
Streusel (below)

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease square pan, 8 x 8 x 2 inches.
  3. Mix all ingredients except streusel; beat vigorously 1 minute.
  4. Spread in pan;
  5. Sprinkle with streusel
  6. Bake until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean, about 35 minutes.
  7. Cool 10 minutes before cutting, makes 9 servings.

Streusel Directions

  1. Cut 2 tablespoons firm margarine or butter into ¼ cup Bisquick baking mix
  2. Add 3 tablespoons sugar, ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon and ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg until crumbly.

Wagon Wheel Sausage Pie made with Bisquick

Ingredients

  • 6 servings
  • 12 oz Sausage, little sizzlers
  • 3 c Hash browns, loose, frozen
  • ½ c Green onions, chopped
  • 2 tb Milk
  • ½ ts Salt
  • ¼ ts Pepper
  • 8 oz Cream cheese
  • ¾ c Bisquick
  • ⅓ c Milk
  • 2 ea Egg

Instructions

  1. Cook sausages and drain.
  2. Grease 10 inch pie plate.
  3. Spread potatoes in pie plate.
  4. Mix together next 5 ingredients and spread over potatoes.
  5. Arrange sausages in spoke fashion on top.
  6. Mix together Bisquick, milk and eggs and pour around sausages.
  7. Bake uncovered at 400 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.

Bisquick Blackberry Cobbler

Blackberry Cobbler

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp. cornstarch
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 ½ cups blackberries
  • ----- Toppings -----
  • 1 cup homemade Bisquick
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 2 tbsp. butter, melted
  • ¼ cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Combine water, sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon and blackberries.
  3. Bring to boil. Cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Pour into Casserole dish and cover with topping.
  5. TOPPING: mix Bisquick, sugar, butter and milk.
  6. Bake until golden, about 25 to 30 minutes.

Easy Fruit Cobbler Made with Bisquick

Fruit Cobbler

Ingredients

  • 6 servings
  • 1 cn 21 oz fruit pie filling,
  • any 1 tb Sugar flavor
  • ¼ c Milk
  • 1 ¼ c Bisquick
  • ¼ c Sour cream
  • Heat oven to 425F.
  • Grease 1 ½ qt casserole.
  • Heat pie filling to boiling.
  • Pour into casserole.

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 425F.
  2. Grease 1 ½ qt casserole.
  3. Heat pie filling to boiling.
  4. Pour into casserole.
  5. Mix remaining ingredients until dough forms.
  6. Drop by 6 spoon full onto hot pie filling.
  7. Sprinkle with sugar if desired.
  8. Bake about 20 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.

Turkey Stew with Dumplings made with Bisquick

Turkey Stew with Dumplings

Ingredients

  • 4 servings
  • 1 ¼ lb Turkey breast tenderloins
  • 2 c Water, divided
  • 4 Slices diced bacon
  • ¼ ts Rosemary
  • 4 Carrots cut in chunks
  • 1 Bay leaf
  • 2 Quartered onions (I use 3 tb Flour Diced)
  • 1 c Bisquick
  • 2 Stalks celery, cut in ⅓ c Milk Chunks
  • 4 oz Can chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Saute bacon in Dutch oven until partially crisp.
  2. Cut turkey into 1 inch chunks and add with onion.
  3. Saute until meat is no longer pink.
  4. Add carrots, celery, 1 and ¾ cup water, broth, rosemary and bay leaf.
  5. Bring to boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
  6. Mix flour with ¼ c. water and stir into stew mixture.
  7. Bring to boil, stirring constantly.
  8. Remove bay leaf.
  9. Salt and pepper to taste.
  10. Mix Bisquick and milk and drop by rounded tablespoons onto stew.
  11. Cook uncovered for 10 minutes. Cover and cook 10 minutes longer.
  12. Makes 4 to 5 servings.

Gingerbread Waffles with Peach Sauce made with Bisquick

Gingerbread Peach Waffles

Ingredients

  • 6 servings
  • 2 c Buttermilk baking mix
  • ¾ ts Cinnamon
  • ¼ ts Nutmeg
  • 1 c Milk
  • 1 cn (16 oz) sliced Cling
  • 1 Egg
  • Peaches in heavy syrup
  • ⅓ c Molasses 1 tb Cornstarch
  • ¼ c Packed light brown sugar
  • 1 tb Lemon juice
  • 1 ts Ginger

Instructions

  1. Combine baking mix, milk, egg, molasses, sugar, ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg.
  2. Pour ½ cup of batter in preheated waffle iron.
  3. Texture of finished waffle will be cake-like; it is not intended to be crisp.
  4. Do not over bake because waffle will burn.
  5. Repeat with remaining batter.
  6. To make Peach Sauce: Drain liquid from peaches into a 4 cup glass measure.
  7. Stir in cornstarch mixed with lemon juice.
  8. Heat on medium until mixture thickens.
  9. Cut peach slices into pieces and add to sauce.
  10. Serve over waffles.
  11. Makes about 6 waffles.

Easy Lasagna made with Bisquick

Lasagna made with Bisquick

Ingredients

  • 15 servings
  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • ¼ c Parmesan cheese
  • ½ c Chopped onion
  • ¾ c Milk
  • 32 oz Spaghetti sauce
  • 1 tb Parsley flakes
  • 1 tb Parsley flakes
  • 1 ts Basil
  • 1 ts Oregano
  • 1 c Shredded zucchini
  • 3 c Bisquick
  • 1 c Shredded mozzarella
  • 1 c Creamed cottage cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook beef and onion.
  2. Drain, add spaghetti sauce, parsley and oregano.
  3. Bring to boil, stirring, and keep warm over low heat.
  4. Mix remaining ingredients except zucchini and mozzarella.
  5. Beat 20 strokes.
  6. Spread half of dough in non-greased 19 x 9 pan.
  7. Sprinkle half of zucchini and half of meat over dough.
  8. Top with half of mozzarella.
  9. Drop remaining dough by teaspoonfuls.
  10. Repeat with remaining zucchini, meat and cheese.
  11. Bake until dark golden brown at 375 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.
  12. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
  13. Makes 15 servings.

Red Lobster Bread made with Bisquick

Red Lobster Bread

Ingredients

  • 12 servings
  • 2 c Bisquick
  • ¾ c Grated cheddar
  • ½ c Cold water
  • ----------------------------------TOPPING----------------------------------
  • Butter Italian seasoning
  • Garlic powder Parsley

Instructions

  1. Mix all together and spoon onto baking sheet.
  2. Brush each biscuit with a mixture of: melted butter, Italian seasoning, garlic powder and parsley.
  3. Bake at 450 for 8-10 mins.

Bisquick Sausage made with Bisquick

Ingredients

  • 1 servings
  • 1 lb Breakfast sausage
  • 1 lb Cheddar cheese
  • 3 c Bisquick mix

Instructions

  1. Combine sausage, Bisquick and grated cheese and mix very well.
  2. Form into 1 to 2 inch size balls.
  3. Place on non-greased baking sheet and bake at 300 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until lightly browned.
  4. May be made ahead and frozen.
