Cheddar and Broccoli Appetizers made with Bisquick

Cheddar Broccoli Appetizer

Ingredients

  • 30 servings
  • 10 oz Frozen chopped broccoli*
  • ¼ c Butter; melted
  • 8 oz Whole kernel corn; drained
  • 2 Eggs
  • ¼ c Onion; chopped
  • ½ c Bisquick
  • ½ c Walnuts; coarsely chopped
  • ¼ ts Garlic salt
  • ½ c Milk
  • 1 c Cheddar cheese; shredded
  • *Thaw and drain the broccoli.
  • Heat oven to 375.

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9x9x2" pan.
  2. Mix broccoli, corn, onion and walnuts.
  3. Place in pan.
  4. Beat remaining ingredients except cheese until smooth, 15 sec. in blender on high, stopping blender frequently to scrape sides if necessary, or 1 min with electric mixer on high.
  5. Pour evenly into pan.
  6. Bake until knife inserted in center comes out clean, 23-25 min.; sprinkle with cheese. Bake until cheese is melted, 2-3 minutes longer.
  7. Cool 30 minutes.
  8. Cut into triangles or squares.
  9. Makes 30 appetizers.

Mc Fabulous Biscuits made with Bisquick

Mc Fabulous Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 6 servings
  • ¼ c 7-up
  • 2 c Bisquick
  • ¼ c Buttermilk

Instructions

  1. Mix together 7-up, buttermilk, bisquick to smooth dough.
  2. Dip hand into just enough more Bisquick you can knead dough in bowl till smooth and elastic.
  3. Shape dough into 6 patties of equal size, 1" thick & place 1 patty in center of a greased 9" round layer pan.
  4. Arrange the other patties around that.
  5. Wipe tops of each in a dab of butter or margarine.
  6. Bake at 450F (very hot oven) 18-20 minutes or till triple in size & golden brown.
  7. Cool in pan 10 minutes before serving.
  8. Makes 6 Mc Fabulous flaky biscuits.

Auntie Lin's Killer Strawberry Shortcake made with Bisquick

Strawberry Shortcake

Ingredients

  • 1 servings
  • Bisquick drop biscuits Fresh sliced strawberries
  • French vanilla ice cream and Fresh whipped cream
  • This is a really easy dessert, loaded with calories, and not for the faint-of-heart!
  • Make the Bisquick drop biscuits as directed on the package,
  • Add 1 tb of sugar (or 2, if you like).

Instructions

  1. Bake as directed.
  2. While still warm, cut in half and put the bottom half in a bowl.
  3. Cover with fresh strawberries (which you have marinated in 4 Tb sugar in the refrigerator for 2 days).
  4. Add a scoop or two of French vanilla ice cream.
  5. Top with the top layer of the biscuit.
  6. Now, cover with more strawberries and top with fresh whipped cream.
  7. Enjoy!

Dumplings made with Bisquick

Bisquick Dumplings 01

Ingredients

  • 12 servings
  • 2 c Bisquick baking mix
  • ⅔ c Milk

Instructions

  1. Mix 2 cups Bisquick baking mix
  2. ⅔ cup milk until soft dough forms.
  3. Drop by spoonfuls onto boiling stew.
  4. Cook uncovered over low heat 10 minutes;
  5. Cover and cook 10 minutes.
  6. Makes 10 - 12.

Chicken & Dumplings made with Bisquick

Chicken Dumplings

Ingredients

  • 6 servings
  • 1 Whole Chicken
  • ¾ c Milk
  • 2 cn Cream of Chicken soup
  • 1 tb Lemon Pepper
  • ---------------------------------DUMPLINGS---------------------------------
  • 2 c Bisquick
  • ⅔ c Milk

Instructions

  1. Boil chicken.
  2. I use some spices to boil in like sage, basil, oregano, rosemary, garlic, and salt.
  3. Any spices you like. De-bone chicken.
  4. Add soup, milk, Lemon Pepper and chicken to chicken broth.
  5. Bring to a boil.
  6. Mix milk and Bisquick.
  7. If you have your own dumpling recipe, use it.
  8. I use this one for convenience.
  9. Drop small spoonfuls of mix into broth mixture.
  10. Cover 5 min.
  11. Uncover 5 min. VERY HOT!
  12. Let cool a little.
  13. I also use more Lemon Pepper than that. It's to taste.
  14. I don't use much salt as the soup has plenty.

Cream Cheese Bars made with Bisquick

Ingredients

  • 1 servings
  • ½ c Brown sugar; packed
  • ¼ c Sugar; granulated
  • ¼ c Butter
  • 1 tb Lemon juice
  • 1 c Bisquick baking mix
  • 2 ts Milk
  • ½ c Walnuts; chopped
  • ½ ts Vanilla
  • 1 pk Cream cheese; 8 oz softened
  • 1 Egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Grease 8" square pan.
  3. Mix brown sugar and butter till well blended.
  4. Stir in Bisquick and walnuts till mixture is crumbly; reserve 1 cup.
  5. Press remaining mixture in pan with fingers. Bake 12 minutes.
  6. Mix cream cheese and granulated sugar; beat in remaining ingredients till smooth.
  7. Spread cream cheese mixture over layer in pan;
  8. Sprinkle with crumbly mixture.
  9. Bake till center is firm, about 25 minutes.
  10. NB. Results aren't always consistent (sometimes it's too crumbly or the
  11. bottom layer sticks in the pan). However, it's Dad's favorite recipe.

Apple Cinnamon Muffins made with Bisquick

Apple Cinnamon Muffins

Ingredients

  • 1 servings
  • 1 Egg
  • ⅔ c Milk
  • 2 c Bisquick baking mix
  • 2 tb Oil; vegetable
  • ¾ c Apple; peeled & finely chopped
  • 2 ts Cinnamon; ground
  • ⅓ c Sugar
  • Fat grams per serving: Approx. Cook Time: 15 mins

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400F.
  2. Grease bottom only of 12 medium muffin cups.
  3. Beat egg slightly, stir in remaining ingredients just till moistened.
  4. Divide batter evenly among cups.
  5. Bake till golden brown, 15 to 17 minutes.
  6. MAKES: 12 muffins

Impossible Hot Fudge Pudding Cake made with Bisquick

Hot Fudge Pudding Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 servings
  • 1 c Bisquick
  • ½ c Milk
  • 1 c Sugar
  • 1 ts Vanilla
  • 3 tb Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1 ⅔ c Hot Water
  • ⅓ c Unsweetened Cocoa Powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. In a greased 8" square pan, mix Bisquick, ½ C sugar and 3 T cocoa powder.
  3. Stir in milk and vanilla until blended.
  4. Sprinkle evenly with remaining sugar and cocoa powder.
  5. Pour water over top.
  6. DO NOT STIR.
  7. Bake 40 minutes or until top is firm.
  8. Dust lightly with confectioner's sugar if desired.
  9. Spoon into dessert bowls while hot.
  10. Tastes great with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipping cream on top.

Impossible Pizza Pie made with Bisquick

Ingredients

  • 6 servings
  • 1 c Prepared pizza sauce
  • ⅔ c Onion; chopped ¼ c Parmesan; grated
  • ⅓ c Parmesan; grated 3 ½ oz Pepperoni; sliced
  • 1 ½ c Milk ⅓ c Onion; chopped
  • 3 Eggs ½ c Green pepper; chopped
  • ¾ c Bisquick 1 ½ c Mozzarella; shredded

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 425.
  2. Grease pie plate, 10 x 1 ½"
  3. Sprinkle ⅔ c. onion and ⅓ c. Parmesan cheese in pie plate.
  4. Beat milk, eggs and bisquick 15 sec. in blender on high.
  5. Pour into pie plate.
  6. Bake 20 min.
  7. Spread pizza sauce over top.
  8. Top with remaining ingredients.
  9. Bake 15-20 min. or til cheese is light brown.
  10. Cool 5 min. For ½ recipe: Use 1 qt. square or round casserole.
  11. Decrease Parmesan cheese to 2 tb.,
  12. eggs to 2 and baking mix to ½ c.
  13. Divide remaining ingred. amts in half.
  14. Decrease beat time to 10 sec and second baking time to 10-15 min.
  15. HIGH ALT>For ½ recipe: use ½ qt round or 1 qt. square casserole.

Impossible Beef and Tomato Pie made with Bisquick

Beef and Tomato Pie

Ingredients

  • 8 servings
  • 3 c Beef; cooked; cut bite-size
  • 2 ¼ c Milk
  • 1 c Onion; chopped
  • ¼ c Butter; melted
  • 1 c Celery; thinly sliced
  • 5 Eggs
  • 3 Tomatoes; coarsely chopped
  • 1 ¼ c Bisquick
  • 1 ½ c Swiss cheese; shredded
  • ½ ts Garlic salt

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350.
  2. Grease a 13x9x2" baking dish.
  3. Layer beef, onion, celery, tomatoes and cheese in dish.
  4. Beat remaining ingredients til smooth, 15 sec. in blender on high or 1 min. with electric mixer on high.
  5. Pour into dish.
  6. Bake until knife inserted in center comes out clean, 40-50 minutes.
  7. Cool 5 minutes.
  8. Garnish with parsley sprigs if desired.
  9. Serves: 8-10.
  10. High Alt. Bake 70-75 minutes.
